HAWAI'I JAPANESE DANCE ASSOCIATION AT A GLANCE
The Hawai'i Japanese Dance Association is a group of Japanese dance academies that have come together to perpetuate, preserve, and share the beauty and power of buyo (舞踊-dance), koten-buyo (古典舞踊 - classical dance), minyo (民踊 - folk dance), and shin-buyo (新舞踊 - modern dance).
From the classical (Nagauta-based, Kabuki, etc.), folk and regional based (Okinawa, Tohoku etc), to modern styles of Japanese Dance, it is our mission to perpetuation all forms of Japanese Dance.
Our mother organization is the Nihon Minyo Buyo Renmei (日本民踊舞連盟) or the Japan Dance Association (JDA).
